Along the Oregon Trail...
In 1848, the United States government was giving every man who settled in the Oregon Territory free land. Pioneer families by the thousands headed west on the Oregon Trail to capture a slice of this fertile countryside in the Willamette Valley for themselves. The promise of a homestead in the temperate climate along the west coast was irresistible. However, the trip was not without peril, and many failed to arrive.
After nineteen-year-old Olga is married off to an older man, the two begin their own arduous journey along the famous, but danger-filled Trail. Before too long, her naivety and nervousness give way to the joy of sex, despite the occasional bit of discipline her husband applies to her soft and gorgeous behind. Soon, though, tragedy strikes and Olga is left on her own. Until...
Thomas, a lawyer in a previous life--well-off and pampered--sets out to make his own way in a new land in defiance of his overbearing father. His journey begins when he accepts a position crewing on a riverboat. When he learns of the gold discovered in California, he joins the rush to the west coast. Fate soon intervenes in the form of a new job scouting for the same wagon train on which three newly widowed women ride. His new task also involves caring for and disciplining the widows. He and Olga have a special spark, which causes Thomas to rethink his plans. The two begin their own journey west to claim a new land. And each other.
Thomas dreams of marrying for love, and not money. Olga dreams of having a loving husband and children. They seem ideally suited for one another, yet their journey to happiness is not an easy one. Along the way, the two face all sorts of dangers--both physical and emotional. How will they navigate the untamed lands of the new frontier? More importantly, how will they navigate an untamed emotional connection more powerful than any they've encountered previously?
Publisher's Note This story contains the spanking of adult women and explicit sexual scenes. If such material offends, please do not purchase.

South Pass Brides edition by Sterling Scott Blushing Books Romance eBooks Reviews
This just may be the best western romance I have ever had the enjoyment of reading. It was such a realistic story, and so utterly believable, that one could almost imagine that it was a non-fiction telling of real pioneer’s (Olga and Thomas, told separately to begin with and then intertwined) life stories. There was even reference to a type of contraception that may well have been practiced in those times.
Olga was the eldest girl in her family and her lack of a marriage offer is seen as holding back the marriage of her younger sister who is already engaged. In an effort to move things along her mother arranges a marriage of convenience for Olga to Peter Graus. They are counselled by the Preacher who married them to have a Christian domestic discipline styled marriage, which they both agree to and embrace. Together they begin the journey to Oregon within a wagon train. Everything about them and their relationship rings true. However, tragedy strikes them very early on.
Thomas was the partner of Bart Hawken, running a trading post in the “Northwest Wilderness”. Tragedy strikes his life when Bart is killed. Given the circumstances of Bart’s death and the prospects of maintaining the post, Thomas decides his best option for a safe and prosperous future lies in California.
The circumstances behind Olga’s and Thomas’ initial meeting are sad indeed, but how they are actually brought together is an inspiring incident upon itself. How they are forced to journey together, and how they overcome all of the exciting and often dangerous adventures along the way to their (initially) diverse destinations, is the basic plot of this rousing tale. Yes, there are numerous spankings (all well-deserved and appropriately meted out) and yes there is romance and sex, but these activities are perfectly aligned to the honesty and believability of this book. I would give this book two full five star ratings, one for the very believable and enjoyable story and another for the quantity and quality of the realistic spankings and sexual encounters.
Be sure to read the author’s “Historical Notes” at the end of the book, and you will (as I did) better understand why everything seemed to be so realistic and true.

South Pass Brides is a wonderful and interesting historical fictional romance. Olga and Peter are in an arranged marriage and are taking the Oregon Trail west. Olga quickly finds out that Peter believes in spanking and they will be living a domestic discipline lifestyle. On their journey they meet many couples traveling in the wagon trains and Olga learns that she is not the only spanked wife. Thomas Meyer works various jobs as he makes his way from the East on his way to start a new life in California. He finds Olga after tragedy strikes and helps her rejoin a wagon train where he will also sign on to help be a scout and hunt to pay for his way. He takes Olga under his protection and will help her on her journey as far as he goes. Along the way a few other widows fall under her guidance and protection but Olga holds a special place in his heart, just as he does hers. With many challenges along the way Olga and Thomas grow closer and fall in love, but this does not stop him from taking her in hand when needed. The widows don't always have time to mourn as survival is a top priority especially in the wilderness. Along the way, these women develop close friendships and find their way to their own futures with their own men. Will they all survive or who will succumb to circumstances of the times?
I highly recommend this excellent story. The storyline is well written and realistic. The scenery was described wonderfully and help the reader to feel they are there along with the characters. The characters are developed, personable, and have you feeling their emotions. The author includes river crossings, wagons overturning, travelers having to turn back and give up on their dreams, hunting for survival, Indian attacks, murder, and hanging. Along with the challenges of a journey across the country during this time period, the author included alpha males (protective by nature), inquisitive females, friendships, lust, sex, spankings, and love. What is not to love! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
We have love, sex and spankings on the vast Oregon Trail.
During their long trek the main characters Olga and Thomas encounter adventure in the form of treacherous river crossings, thirst and near starvation, deceit, and Indian attacks. They fall in love and Olga wonders if she will be a part of Thomas's life and heart ever after.
Clearly the author paid great attention when detailing historic and geographic information and this added to my reading enjoyment. I would highly recommend this book.
